Dig into Innovation
On Thursday the 12th July, Jon Littman, the renowned author of the “10 Faces of Innovation” will lead a workshop for us in San Francisco. The first face is the anthropologist. The Anthropologist is the person who ventures into the field to observe how people interact with products, services, and experiences to innovate.
The 2018 Global Strategic Innovation (GSI IEP) is an executive immersion program in Silicon Valley. GSI IEP, running on the week of the 9th -13 thJuly in Silicon Valley, is putting togheter its 8th Edition. Through these short postings we will keep you up-to-date with the latest developments.
Days One and Two
On Monday 9th July we will be visiting The Vault, one of the most well-known collaborative workspaces and innovation hubs in San Francisco. A couple of The Vault’s leading resident startups there have been lined up to present and interact with GSI IEP participants.
On Tuesday 10th July we will be going to Stanford University, one of the world’s leading learning and research institutions. We’re lining up a few good hours at Stanford together.

FISHERMAN’S WHARF
Fisherman’s Wharf is a neighborhood and popular tourist attraction in San Francisco, California. It roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco, from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street.
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the one-mile-wide (1,6 km), three-mile-long (4,8 km) channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
HAIGHT-ASHBURY
Haight-Ashbury is a district in San Francisco, California, named for the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets. It is also called The Haight and The Upper Haight. The neighborhood is known for its history of, and being, the origin of hippie counterculture.
ALCATRAZ ISLAND
Alcatraz Island is located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.25 miles (2,01 km) offshore from San Francisco, California, United States. The small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison (1868), and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963.
NAPA COUNTY
Napa County is a county located north of San Pablo Bay in the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 136,484. It was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood. Parts of the county’s territory were given to Lake County in 1861.
UNION SQUARE
Union Square is a 2.6-acre (1,1 ha) public plaza bordered by Geary, Powell, Post and Stockton Streets in downtown San Francisco, California. “Union Square” also refers to the central shopping, hotel, and theater district that surround the plaza for several blocks.
